Do you put them in a cattery or leave them at home?

My cats stay at home and we have several friends and neighbours who are more than happy to pop round and feed them etc and make sure they are OK.

My cat stays at home and my brother keeps her company, feeds her and cleans her litter box. I do put in her in a cat carrying box, to take her to visit my mother. My mother loves it when I bring her to see her.

I have my older kids come in and feed them and clean their litter boxes when I go away. I think if I had to board them or something it would probably traumatize them. LOL

I can't afford to put them up anywhere when I go on holiday. I usually use coupons to go on holiday! I take my cats to my aunt's house and she watches them or sometime one of my cousins comes over to check up on them if it is only for a few days. I don't like to move them too much because they get too nervous.

I would only put my cats in a cattery if I had no other choice but I'm sure they wouldn't like it. I'd rather leave them at home where they have familiar surroundings, even if they have someone they are not too familiar with come to feed them etc.

    Holiday?? whats that!!! lolI
think when and if I go on holiday I would have my oldest son tend to the tribe, I know he is capable and responsible enough to handel it.

My cats stay at home if it is a short trip, but if I am going on a long trip I take them to my moms house. She loves having the babies come over for a visit. She spoils them more than I do.

I never really go on holiday so I haven't had to worry about that.. but if I am going to be gone for several hours I have a neighbors look in on my pets.. Or if we are gone for more then a day doing something we let my pets stay with my fiancees parents.

I don't think cats travel well. If I can't find someone reliable to look after my cats, then I just don't take a holiday.

We're going to board Sophie this year.
The breeders friend runs a cattery and she takes all her show cats there.
